Birmingham Children’s Hospital staff member arrested for ‘poisoning’ after child died

A health worker was arrested last Thursday on suspicion of poisoning an infant who died at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. The 27 year old has been suspended by the hospital, and released by the police pending further enquiries.

Appeal after mans dies in Tipton collision

West Midlands Police are appealing for information following the death of a motorcyclist Sunday afternoon in Tipton. The 21 year old suffered serious injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is helping officers with their enquiries.

Heinz honours 50th anniversary of Spaghetti Junction

Heinz has honoured 50 years of Spaghetti Junction by producing 500 cans of limited edition pasta. The can’s label depicts the Gravelly Hill interchange with spaghetti strands. The junction was given its nickname by a local reporter, describing its lay-out as a “cross between a plate of spaghetti and an unsuccessful attempt at a Staffordshire knot”
