6 months to the Commonwealth Games

To mark six months until the start of the Commonwealth Games, Birmingham 2022 have launched their Get Set for the Games programme, providing useful information for businesses and residents. The games are the largest event to ever be held in the region and officially begin on the 28th July.

West Midlands Chief Constable is stepping down

The Chief Constable of the West Midlands Police has revealed he will be stepping down from his post after the Commonwealth games. Sir David Thompson stated that while he remains enthusiastic about policing, it would be a good time for the force to have new leadership.

100km cycle routes planned for the West Midlands

100km of new cycle routes have been planned for the West Midlands as part of a £1.3billion investment. 50 projects have been prioritised for the region’s transport networks to promote the decarbonisation of transport, improve areas of poor connectivity and support inclusive growth.
