400% increase in e-scooter accidents
Figures show that there has been a 400% increase in e-scooter collisions across the West Midlands in the last year. 63 casualties in collisions were reported in 2021 compared to just 12 in 2020. Across the UK, 9 people were killed in such collisions during the same period.
Perry Barr Station opens
The new Perry Barr Railway Station opened its doors on Sunday. It’s been a year since the old station was demolished to make way for the new one, which will act as a key gateway for visitors to the Alexandra Stadium for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
