Work to start on new train stations

Transport for West Midlands have appointed construction firm VolkerFitzpatrick to build three railway stations on the Camp Hill line in south Birmingham, providing services to Moseley, Kings Heath and Hazelwell. The £61 million scheme will see construction begin in November, and is due to be completed later next year.

Birmingham restaurant dates announced

Dates for the Birmingham Restaurant Festival has been announced. The festival will run for two weeks from the 22nd August. The festival offers ticket holders special menus with exclusive offers at a range of venues across the city.

Teenager dies following Easter day crash

An 18 year old driver who was critically injured when his car hit a brick wall on Easter Sunday has died. The crash saw the death of another Ali Tazeem who died at the scene. Ali was a teenage boxing star who was dubbed “the next Amir Khan”. Tazeem had only signed a professional contract three weeks prior to the fatal crash.
