Teens arrested after 13-year-old boy stabbed to death near Birmingham

The 13-year-old boy's family have been informed about the arrests.

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 13-year-old boy was stabbed to death at a home in Oldbury.

The boy died inside a house on Lovett Avenue on Thursday.

Two teenage boys were arrested on Sunday and taken into custody.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police added: “The family of the 13-year-old boy who died are aware of the developments in our investigation. Our thoughts remain with them at this devastating time.”

Chief Superintendent Kim Madill said paramedics "worked in vain to try to save his young life".

She added: "We know that the incident took place inside his home, and I would appeal to anyone who has information to come forward."
