Two teenage boys have been arrested after a 17-year-old was stabbed in Kings Heath last night (3 November).

The boys, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and are currently in police custody.

West Midlands Police officers were called to the incident on Meadfoot Avenue just after 7.30pm.

There was a disorder outside the shops before the victim was attacked by a group of six people.

The 17-year-old was found with serious injuries. He’s currently in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Officers sent to search the area found a knife nearby, which has been recovered and will be forensically examined as part of the ongoing investigation.

In a statement, West Midlands Police, said: “We believe the attack was targeted and two boys, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding.

“They are currently in police custody, where they will be interviewed about the attack by the investigation team.

“Officers are in the area today. They’re conducting house to house enquiries, looking at CCTV and speaking to local people.

“Our priority is to find out what happened, and who is involved. If you have any information that can help, please let us know.”
