Hide AdFollowing successful testing of the first trams to undergo body panel replacements, West Midlands Metro has confirmed they are now able to restore passenger services between Wolverhampton St George’s and Birmingham Bull Street from tomorrow (Thursday, 9 June).
Initially trams will run every 12 – 15 minutes throughout the day.
The limited service was due to return at the end of May, but Midland Metro Limited has said its Spanish manufacturer CAF had not been able to provide enough trams which had delayed the timings.

What has West Midlands Metro said?
A statement read: “Customers can now check the West Midlands Metro website or follow our social media channels for the most up to date service information.
“Trams may be busy in peak times so customers can check ahead and plan their journey using the heat map on our app and website.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience that our customers have experienced during this time and thank them for their continued patience as we return a robust service across the entire network.”
