Tram passengers in Wolverhampton left facing delays after traffic signal failure
Passengers were warned of service terminating outside the city centre after a traffic signal failure.
Metro passengers in Wolverhampton faced nearly an hour of delays to services after a traffic signal failure.
West Midlands Metro put out a message on social media at 11.15am to inform passengers that services would terminate at the Royal due to the issue, meaning services would not call at St George’s, Pipers Row or Wolverhampton Station.
A spokesman for West Midlands Metro said: “Due to a traffic signal failure near the Royal, there is currently no service in operation between The Royal & Wolverhampton
“Service is operating between The Royal & Edgbaston Village/Millennium Point only.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
A later update at 12pm said that services had resumed and were progressing as normal.
