Rail passengers in Birmingham are set to face significant disruption during the upcoming May Bank Holiday week, as members of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen union (ASLEF) have announced a series of train strikes over pay disputes. The strike action is scheduled to take place on May 7, 8, and 9, affecting various train operating companies across the country including Avanti West Coast, Chiltern Railways, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, Great Western Railway, West Midlands Railway, and others. Routes from Birmingham to Hereford, Shrewsbury and Rugeley Trent Valley will be affected. Rail replacement buses will operate for the Leamington Spa to Nuneaton line. Passengers are advised to check the latest information before traveling and allow additional time for their journeys.
