New timetable for A34 Perry Barr Highway completion

Birmingham City Council have issued a new timetable for when work on the A34 Perry Barr Highway will be completed. The improvement scheme was die to finish at the end of 2021. The council have stated that while the bulk of the work is now complete, the improvement is set to be completed by spring 2022 ahead of the commonwealth games.

Hockley teenager charged with murder of 13 year-old boy

The man arrested yesterday in relation to the shooting of a 13 year old boy in Hockley has been charged with attempted murder. 19 year old Zidann Edwards of Ford Street was also charged with possession of prohibited weapon. The three others who were previously arrested remain on bail.

Indecent exposure in Ward End Park

Police are appealing for witnesses following an indecent exposure which occurred near the entrance of Ward End park. It happened between 7.20am and 7.40am. A 38 year old man was arrested at the scene but was later released under investigation.
