With its huge John Lewis store and popular fashion changes including Zara, Mango and Next it’s the go to place for many people across the Borough - and further afield.

And there’s an exciting new addition coming to Touchwood for West Midlands fashionistas - with a new outlet set to replace Joules which left the shopping centre a few months ago.

New signs are up announcing that luxury fashion store Mint Velvet will be opening at Touchwood soon. The glamorous high street brand is also looking for staff and has printed a QR code on its new signs where people can find out more about the jobs available.

Mint Velvet was founded by friends Liz, Lisa and Jane in 2009 over cups of fresh mint tea. The trio were chatting about high street shops and how they had outgrown fast fashion, and instead wanted somewhere they could find luxurious, effortless pieces they could slip on  - nodding to trends in a relaxed way.

They call their concept Relaxed Glamour, saying: “Thirteen years on, we’re known for our easy shapes, beautiful prints and flattering fits, all with thoughtful finishing touches – after all, it’s the little things that make life lovely, so you should never underestimate the power of a great outfit on a bad day.”

The brand is currently stocked in John Lewis at Touchwood, and there is no mention of whether this will change when the new store opens. It also has shops in Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon.
