Three teenagers charged for knifepoint robberies in Sutton Coldfield

Police have made arrests after investigating a series of robberies recently

Three teenagers have been charged in connection with knifepoint robberies in Sutton Coldfield. West Midlands Police detained two teens, aged 16 and 19, after a 14-year-old boy was threatened with a knife and had his bike stolen in Newhall Car Park on Monday (16 January).

Ansel Causer, from Sutton Coldfield, and the 16-year-old, who can’t be named due to his age, were remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday (18 January).

Police also charged Jerimiah Hollinghead-Scott, 18, of Sutton Coldfield, with two counts of robbery and knife possession yesterday (19 January).

It comes after police carried out enquiries around another knifepoint robbery. On that occasion a teenager was threatened with a knife as his bike was stolen in Rectory Park last August.

Following enquiries by the Gangs Team and Robbery Team in Birmingham, Hollinghead-Scott was remanded to appear before court at a later date.
