The Queen made many visits to Birmingham during her long reign.
Following her passing, we’ve put together some photos from her Diamon Jubillee visit to the city in 2012 and from her visit with the Duke of Edinburgh to reopen New Street Station in 2015.
Following her death on Thursday, 8 September, West Midlands mayor Andy Street, said: “Queen Elizabeth II’s standards & values made her the Queen she was, and these hallmarks must still guide us Thank you your Majesty for your service, dedication & unwavering commitment to your people On this, the saddest day for our country, my thoughts are with the Royal Family.”
Birmingham’s biggest names paid their respects to Her Majesty, including Ozzy Osbourne, who wrote on Twitter: “I mourn with my country the passing of our greatest Queen. With a heavy heart I say it is devastating the thought of England without Queen Elizabeth II.”
