The list of food banks in the Birmingham area and how to access them ahead of Christmas Day
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Christmas is for many the most happy time of the year, with an abundance of food, gifts and warmth. But for many families in the UK, it can be the most challenging of times, especially as Birmingham faces a cost of living crisis.
BirminghamWorld and NationalWorld have partnered up with Trussell Trust this holiday season to help make sure that the increased demand for food banks around the country is met. Because of the cost of living crisis’ tight grip around the UK, food banks have been struggling to keep up with demand as stocks have been running low and more food has been handed out than donated.

Hide AdAs Christmas is approaching quickly, many families will be struggling to put food on the table. BirminghamWorld has collected a list of food banks around the Greater Birmingham area operated by Trussell Trust to help make the season a little bit brighter.
Due to the extreme demand, some food banks may require an appointment before being able to support you and your family. In the list below, we have included a direct link to all Trussell Trust operated food banks, with opening times and contact details.
If you wish to support the NationalWorld and Trussell Trust campaign to make sure no families go hungry this Christmas, you can donate either a single or a monthly donation. Please visit the Trussell Trust campaign website for more information on how you can help.
