Three streets in Birmingham have been named among the top 50 to live on in Britain.

The Telegraph has released its list of the 50 best streets in the UK, with a street in Sutton Coldfield and one in Edgbaston being included in the top 50. A street in Solihull also made the list.

To create the study, along with Knight Frank, the newspaper looked at amenities and proximity to schools and transport, and compared house prices on certain streets to find their top 50.

Ladywood Road in Sutton Coldfield made the list. The road is opposite Sutton Park and is home to a number of plush properties costing in excess of £1 million. The average price on the road in 2023 is £1,116,857. The road was also one of the four original roads forming the exclusive Four Oaks residential estate.

Westbourne Road in Edgbaston also features in the list. Edgbaston is home to some of the most expensive homes in Birmingham. Properties in Edgbaston had an overall average price of £324,196 in 2022 and it is one of the most affluent areas of the city. The average house price of homes on the leafy street which is close to the university in 2023 was £336,068. The esteemed school Edgbaston High School for Girls is also located on the street.

Many homes on Westbourne Road also exceed the £500,000 price tag. Alderbook Road, Solihull was the other local street to appear in the list. Properties in the Solihull street had an overall average price of £1,117,500 over the last year, according to Rightmove. Average house prices on Alderbrook Road in 2023 were £891,392.
