Police are investigating a teenager being stabbed at a McDonalds restaurant in Kings Norton, Birmingham

A teenage boy was stabbed during disorder in McDonalds on Parsons Hill, Kings Norton just after 4.30pm yesterday (Monday, October 16).

The 16-year-old was found a short distance away at a snooker hall, having sustained a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with a serious back injury where he remains today. His condition is described as not life threatening or life changing.

The restaurant was evacuated and no-one else was injured. Officers are studying CCTV and speaking to witnesses to establish who was involved and what happened.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for anyone who saw the disorder or has any information, and hasn’t spoken to an officer, to contact us via Live Chat on our website or call 101 quoting crime reference 20/90458/23.
