London teenager, 15, jailed after breaking into West Midlands home and raping woman

The boy pleased guilty to two counts of rape and one count of burglary.

A 15-year-old boy, from London, has been jailed for breaking into a woman’s home in the West Midlands and raping her.

The teenager, who cannot be named because of his age, broke into a house in Nuneaton and raped a woman earlier this year.

Warwickshire Police say he broke into a nearby house shortly after and stole the keys to a car.

He was promptly arrested and remanded in custody and, thanks to the bravery of the victim, a strong case was built against him.

As a result, he pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one count of burglary.

In relation to the second incident, he admitted to burglary and a theft of a motor vehicle, which was taken into consideration by the courts.

Appearing at Coventry Crown Court on November 5, he was sentenced to seven years and two months in custody.

DCI Martyn Kendall said: “I want to take this chance to highlight the bravery of the woman who was subjected to this horrific attack.

“I know nothing can take away what happened, but I hope that this outcome at least brings some peace to her.”
