A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “It's believed the 78-year-old may have been struck by a car but currently has no recollection of what happened. She sustained a number of broken bones.

“We believe the occupants of this vehicle may have information to assist our enquiries. We'd ask them or anyone else who can help to contact us via Live Chat on our website, or call 101, and quote log 2867 of 17/1/24.”
