A leading UK hospitality discovery platform is on the hunt for a Sushi Brunch Tester after seeing a whopping 500% increase in searches for sushi brunches on its website.

DesignMynight has launched the campaign - which it claims is a world first - after naming Birmingham restaurant, Rozu - which is in The Arcadian - among the best in the UK for sushi brunches.

In addition to getting to taste and review some of the best sushi across the UK, the winning Sushi Brunch tester will be awarded a £1,000 prize from DesignMyNight. The winner’s reviews will be published on the platform which has 3.9 million monthly users.

The team at DesignMyNight said: “We are looking for someone with a discerning palate and a love of all things brunch, as well as a talent for writing. If you’re the type of person who can tell the difference between uramaki, nigiri, and sashimi, then keep reading.”

The Sushi Brunch Tester campaign follows DesignMyNight’s ‘Taco Tester’ initiative last year. To nab the title of the world’s first sushi brunch tester, all you need to do is fill out a short Typeform application and explain why you’re the perfect person for the gig. If you believe you’ve got what it takes, apply here by midnight on Sunday 23rd April (T&Cs apply).

Anisah Audu-Evans, Managing Editor for DesignMyNight, added:At DesignMyNight, we love a good brunch. And these days, UK restaurants are going beyond the standard eggs and bloody mary combination we’ve been used to. In the last year, we’ve seen over 100,000 searches for sushi brunches on DesignMyNight.com, proving that this trend isn’t going away any time soon.

She continues: We’re on the hunt to find the UK’s best places for a sushi brunch. We need a Sushi Brunch Tester who shares our same passion for hospitality, and can help us uncover more local restaurants and hidden gems across the country.”
