Manchester City and England midfielder Jack Grealish donated £5,000 to Dylan’s page, and more than £170,000 had been raised in total, but Dylan’s friends confirmed on social media that he died on Saturday, August 26.
In 2022, Dylan, from Staffordshire, was studying at the University of Liverpool when he believed he had pulled a muscle in his back. But weeks of illness and a trip to A&E resulted in the heartbreaking discovery that he had Precursor T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
Despite undergoing successful treatment, he was told the cancer had returned later in the year, and he needed a further stem cell transplant. Dylan’s family said he needed to get into remission and would need CAR-T treatment, which can only be paid for as a clinical trial in the US.

The Manchester City star also shared the fundraiser online urging people to ‘please have a read’ as social media users who spotted his donation labelled the England international ‘such a good human’ and a ‘top bloke’.
Despite thousands of pounds being raised from the public through the fundraiser, Dylan fell ill earlier this month and his friends confirmed his passing on August 26.
