Three people stabbed in Erdington: police increase patrols

West Midlands Police have stepped up patrols in Erdington after a man and two teens were stabbed.

A 36-year-old man & two teens aged 18 and 17 were taken to hospital with injuries which are not life-threatening.

West Midlands Police said: “We have an increased visible presence with officers from our Neighbourhood Task Force in the Tyburn area after the stabbing on Wheelwright Road around 6pm last night.”

No arrests have been made at this stage and police enquiries are continuing.

The police said: “We know people may be worried by what’s happened and have stepped up patrols in the area. You will see a greater visible police presence today and over the weekend.

“We are looking at CCTV and we ask witnesses or anyone who may have mobile phone or dashcam footage to come forward as we continue our investigation. You can contact us via Live Chat quoting log 3673 of 2/3.”
