This year’s Solihull Summer Fest promises an unforgettable weekend with a star studded line up, top rate facilities and more.

It’s the seventh year that the festival has taken place and it’s renowned for its feel-good atmosphere with the music providing the perfect backdrop for a fun time with friends and family.

There’s a huge variety of food and drink on offer with guests especially loving the Pimms Bus and wide selection of street food and bars. People living in Solihull Borough are entitled to a 20% resident’s discount on Summer Fest tickets available until June 26 (full details below).

In the run up to the festival there will be two other events on the Summer Fest site – Solihull’s Open Air Cinema showing Grease! followed by a live band and street food on Thursday, July 20. On Friday, July 21 The Secret Symphony Orchestra will be performing Ibiza Proms in the Park – an incredible journey of Ibiza’s most iconic anthems.

Saturday

Joint headliners, Lisa Stansfield and Sophie Ellis-Bextor perform on Saturday, July 22. Multi award winning Lisa Stansfield has sold more than 20 million records worldwide including hits such as “All Around the World”, “This is the Right Time” and “People Hold On”.

English singer songwriter, Sophie Ellis Bextor is renowned for her disco-pop party anthems including “Murder on the Dancefloor” and “If this Ain’t Love”. Joining Lisa and Sophie on Saturday is:

  • Artful Dodger

Eighties legends, The Human League, will be headlining the main stage on Sunday, July 23. They will be performing all their greatest hits which include Together In Electric Dreams and Mirror Man. They will be joined by:

  • Boney M
  • Odyssey
  • A DJ set from Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp
  • Johnny Hates Jazz and
  • Aswad

Summer Fest founder and organiser, Ian Rogers said: “We are delighted to be bringing such huge talent to Solihull this July - every year the festival gets bigger and better. The performances are obviously outstanding, but what people talk about the most is the Summer Fest atmosphere which is electric.”
