The clinic in Solihull, which offers various scans including X-Rays, MRI and Ultrasound, has applied for 1367 Warwick Road in Knowle to be converted from a five bedroom property, split between two bedrooms on the ground floor and three on the first floor, into office space.

The clinic, which opened in December 2009, has applied for it to be converted into space which would be the home for its business operations.

In the submitted planning document the clinic says it will “enable better use of the rooms at Heath Lodge Clinic for patient services rather than office space and help deliver more efficiently managed business operations.”

The applicant adds: “Demand for the services of Heath Lodge Clinic has increased significantly, and within current premises there is insufficient space for patient parking. Also, there is insufficient capacity to provide specialist services, including preliminary consultation with clients which has resulted in the turning away of patients.”

Solihull Council says the application was submitted on March 25 with planners yet to make a decision.

Elsewhere the authority has received an application for a change of use of a vacant former barber shop in Fordbridge to become a fried chicken shop.
