Travel disruption is expected in Solihull this week as drivers of a bus service have voted in favour of industrial action over pay dispute.

Stagecoach’s West Midlands operations will be affected after industrial action was called by Unite the Union across depots in Warwickshire. The industrial action is to begin from September 5 and it will be a continuous one.

Stagecoach said on its website: “Our drivers are due to commence continuous industrial action on Tuesday 5th September across our depots in Warwickshire. This will cause disruption to our services across Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

“We believe the industrial action called by Unite the Union is unnecessary. Unite members have rejected a pay offer of 14.3% as part of a 2-year pay deal, on the back of an increase in basic pay of 16.3% last year. We continue to meet Unite the Union to resolve the trade dispute and return your services to normal as soon as possible.”

Stagecoach shared an outline of the timetables they plan to run in West Midlands during the strike. If your service is not listed unfortunately it will not be running. Where possible, they will add and run additional journeys.
