Former Birmingham sex dolls entrepreneur unveils new business

The world’s leading bespoke sex doll business has been flattened by Covid. But its boss has bounced back by turning from vinyl to vitamins. 

Jade Stanley’s “Sex Doll Official” company made headlines around the world. In 2018, she launched the industry’s first rental service and her long list of customers included bereaved men who wanted a replica of their late partners. That’s despite some dolls costing over £3,000. 

She made national newspaper headlines, twice appeared on This Morning and even graced the New York Post. But the pandemic punctured business plans, stifling imports from China, where the dolls were made, and pushing cost through the roof. 

Now Jade, from Halesowen, is chasing financial success in a healthier business sector. The mum-of-four launches TeenVit, a range of gummy supplements, on TikTok within days. 

She said: “Teenagers are here to be seen and heard, we see that with snapchat and TikTok. They are a large part of the consumer market and their health is as important as adults. Prevention is better than a cure.” 

The entrepreneurial spirit is strong in the 40-year-old who also runs a successful sunbed business. “I’ve learned so much in the last few years,” Jade said. “I have no regrets about the sex dolls, but there were a lot of challenges and the challenges were vast. Getting the product over here was very hard. 

“I want an English product, a product where I can get everything I want in the UK. I believe it’s time to move on and TikTok is such a massive marketplace. I am moving the marketplace out to something that is up-and-coming and fresh. That is why I’m passionate about this, because of the people we are working with and the fact it is a teenage market.” 

The gummies, costing £9.99, have tags that will resonate with the younger generation. There’s “More Energy, More Passion” to enhance energy. Anti-Bloat GOAT is a pro-biotic. It’s Giving Detox is an apple cider based detox treatment. Growin’ N Glowin’ is for skin, hair and nails. 

Jade added: “I’m so excited about landing something that is so innovative, it’s mindblowing.” Jade’s sure she’s on a winner. And unlike sex dolls, deflation won’t be a problem.
