Sandwell’s 10 richest neighbourhoods based on average income, including Tividale & Warley

Some parts of Sandwell have much higher average incomes than others - but which is the richest?

We’ve compiled a list of the Sandwell neighbourhoods with the highest estimated average annual household income, based on the latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics.

The total annual household income is the sum of the gross income of every member of the household plus any income from benefits such as Working Families Tax Credit.

The average household income for Sandwell is around £31,500 which is below the England-wide average of £43,960.

The list we have compiled uses figures for so-called Middle Layer Super Output Areas (MSOA) within Solihull and the West Midlands. The estimates were calculated using regional figures from the Family Resources Survey and modelling down to neighbourhood level based on characteristics of the neighbourhood obtained from census and administrative statistics.

Like any major UK city or town, some areas are wealthier than others across the area covered by Sandwell Council.

So, where is the richest neighbourhood in the town located - West Bromwich? Wednesbury? Tipton?

Let’s take a look at the top 10.
