Sandwell men convicted of 2 week crime spree

Two men from Sandwell have been convicted following a crime spree which netted them two high value cars and over £70,000 in less than two weeks. Dante Morgan of Oldbury and Chakiah Lambert of West Bromwich were charged and convicted of conspiracy to rob and await sentencing in March.

Erdington burglar told 83 year-old woman he was from the gas board

A burglar has been jailed after targeting an 83 year old woman by claiming to be from the gas board. Daniel Freeman alongside an accomplice searched her home in Erdington before stealing £700 from an upstairs bedroom. Despite pleading innocent he was found guilty and sentenced to three years in prison.

Aston drug dealer jailed

A drug dealer has been jailed after the Regional Organised Crime Unit brought down a county lines operating between Birmingham Warwickshire. Aaqib Ali was the key player supplying cocaine and heroin on a commercial scale. He was sentenced to 10 years at Birmingham Crown Court.
