Cannabis factory found in Bearwood

Magistrates have banned people from entering a home on Linden Road in Bearwood after a cannabis factory was discovered there. Three hundred and fifty plants worth over £200,000 were found in the three story property and destroyed. A man was arrested and charged in connection to the operation.

Sandwell Council review identifies failures

A report by external auditors says that a “breakdown in trust, respect and confidence” lead to the failures of Sandwell Council. The review states that poor relations between management and staff, a lack of decision making and no clear managerial responsibility had negatively impacted the council’s ability to provide public services.

German Christmas Market food hygiene ratings revealed

The first round of food hygiene inspections at the German Christmas Market in Birmingham failed 17 of the 39 stalls there which sell food and drink. However all 17 stalls that did fail later passed when another round of inspections were held later that same day.
