Shoppers queuing across Birmingham for today’s reported arrival of a new stock of Prime drinks at Sainsbury’s were disappointed - after they were met with empty shelves.

Reports said Logan Paul and KSI’s energy drinks - including a limited edition flavour - were due to be on sale at the shops from today (21). Queues were seen at Sainsbury’s stores in Birmingham, Maidstone and Torquay - and when the door opened, some shoppers ran to the shelves.

In all shops they were met with empty ‘point of sale’ cardboard boxes and signs saying the shops were still waiting for stock. Some of the parents had been waiting in line long before the stores opened.

According to the Daily Record, a Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We know our customers actively seek the latest in product innovation. We are excited to be launching the following Prime Hydration products in store from Tuesday 21 February.”

The supermarket is set to stock flavours lemon lime, blue raspberry, tropical punch, ice pop and limited edition orange and mango. The millionaire YouTubers have reportedly already made £8.3 million from the energy drink worldwide. In the UK alone, Prime sold out in Aldi stores across the country, and has already started to be stocked in ASDA.
