Russia’s invasion of Kiev and other Ukrainian cities has shocked many of us.

As Boris Johnson outlines the latest measures that the UK is set to take in response to the invasion, people across Birmingham are reacting to the news.

President Vladimir Putin said Russia does not have a goal to occupy Ukraine, but the responsibility for bloodshed lies with the Ukrainian “regime”.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that the Russian President has “chosen a path of bloodshed and destruction” with his attack and that the UK and its allies would respond “decisively”.

The threat to human lives and the deepening cost of living crisis are among the top concerns of many of the people we spoke to in Sutton Coldfield this morning (Thursday, February 24). See our video at the top of this story for all their comments and let us know what you think.
