Rubery Dog walker attacker jailed

A man who assaulted a dog walker in order to steal her handbag has been jailed. Ameral Hare attacked the 63 year old woman on Kineton Road last May after jumping out of his Vauxhall Corsa which he was using to trail her. He was sentenced to eight years following a trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

Edgbaston man charged with murder

An Edgbaston man has been charged for the murder of a pensioner in Halesowen. 78 year old David Varlow was found collapsed on his living room floor by police. Adris Mohammad has been charged with aggravated burglary, murder and fraud, and is due to appear in court.

Independent review into the suspension of Metro services

An independent review into the suspension of Metro services is being conducted by Transport for West Midlands. The review was initiated by West Midlands mayor Andy Street after expressing frustration at the situation. Midland Metro Ltd. is aiming to resume services within four weeks.
