West Midlands Roads has issued a major traffic disruption warning following a road traffic collision involving a toddler at Five Ways Island this morning. They have since announced that roads are cleared.

Part of the Transport for West Midlands family, the organisation advised that police were at the scene assisting with recovery and warned commuters to expect congestion in the area. Posting on Twitter West Midlands Roads said: “Allow extra time to travel or consider alternative routes.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the incident along with West Midlands Police. A spokesperson for WMAS said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC at Five Ways Island at 8.14am, one ambulance attended the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a male toddler, who was assessed and discharged at the scene."
