The retail giant Frasers Group has unveiled plans for a global headquarters campus in the West Midlands which could see up to 7,500 jobs created in the region.

The company, which operates Sports Direct and House of Fraser, as well as, GAME, Jack Wills and Everlast, plans to establish its new base at Junction 2 of the M6 in Ansty near Coventry in Warwickshire.

Plans for the campus would include logistics, offices, R&D retail, a hotel and leisure facilities. A gym, swimming pool and bookable courts and pitches are also planned for the site.

According to Insider Media Ltd, the proposals are subject to planning approval by Rugby Borough Council.

What has Frasers Group said about the plans?

A spokesperson at Frasers Group told Insider Media: “To accelerate the businesses’ growth and support our future, we have explored options for a potential new site.

“This new location would provide the group with a well-located, world-class platform to further deliver our successful elevation strategy.”
