Popular West Midlands nightlife spot to close - but venue to return with new identity
The Cuban Embassy in Moseley will shut for the final time on Sunday, September 27.
A popular nightlife spot in Birmingham is closing its doors later this month - but there are plans for the venue to return under a new brand and identity.
The Cuban Embassy in Moseley will shut for the final time on Sunday, September 27.

It will mark the end of its 10-year chapter with a final weekend-long celebration from September 25-27, bringing together music, musicians, DJs, food, drinks and a good-time atmosphere.
While the details of what comes next are being kept under wraps for now, the team behind The Cuban Embassy has confirmed that the venue will return under a new brand and a new identity.
So the final night will be a celebration of everything that came before - and a hint at what’s still to come.
For a decade, the former Bull’s Head on St Mary’s Row has been transformed into a little slice of Havana in Birmingham - serving up Cuban cocktails, rum, Latin-inspired food and live music while becoming a familiar home for musicians, DJs, promoters, partygoers and the wider Birmingham community.
The venue has hosted everything from Latin nights and live bands to hip-hop, R&B, reggae, dancehall, Afrobeat, garage, country and alternative music, alongside its regular programme of live entertainment.
Its house band, Rhythms Del Toro, has become a Saturday-night institution, bringing audiences to the dancefloor week after week.
The Cuban Embassy has also played host to the annual Birmingham Rum Festival, which celebrated its own tenth anniversary in 2025, as well as countless birthdays, weddings, private parties, gigs, club nights and late-night celebrations.
