Popeyes at Merry Hill: Open date officially announced for viral-sensation fast-food chain in shopping centre
Freebies will be up for grabs when the latest Popeyes location opens its doors in Merry Hill shopping centre.
Viral-sensation fried chicken shop Popeyes has announced the official open date for it’s Merry Hill location - and it’s sooner than you might think.
The Louisiana-style eatery, which is known for its New Orleans flavours, has taken over the former Pizza Hut restaurant at Merry Hill Retail Park.
The new restaurant brings around 50 new jobs to the area and is set to open on Friday June 5, at 11am.
It offers dine-in seating, self-service kiosks and collection points for online orders.
Tom Crowley, Popeyes UK CEO, said: “Merry Hill has a real energy to it, so we just knew we had to bring a restaurant here.
"We can't wait to welcome the community to our newest restaurant and show the area our world-famous Louisiana hospitality.”
To celebrate the grand opening at the Dudley-based shopping centre, the fast food chain will be giving away a number of freebies, including:
- First 4 customers on foot will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a year
- First 4 customers in Park & Serve will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a year
- First 50 will receive exclusive Popeyes merch
- First 100 will get a free Chicken Sandwich
