West Midlands Police working with nightclubs

Following concerns around drink spiking, West Midlands Police have been working with nightclubs such as Snobs to help keep customers safe. Between the 15th and 21st of November, 11 people reported being spiked with drugs. Out of the nine tested, seven received a negative result, with only one testing positive.

West Midlands Police have released a video showing the moment officers rescued a missing pensioner who got trapped in dense woodland. The 76 year old strayed off path when walking in fields near Coleshill. Following a medical check, he was found to have suffered no serious injuries.

Young people convicted of over 3,000 knife crimes

Ministry of Justice figures have shown that young people in the West Midlands were convicted or cautioned in over 3000 knife crime cases over the course of the last decade. These figures have been revealed weeks following the conviction of five teenagers for the murder of Keon Lincoln in Handsworth.
