Police are looking to trace a witness following the assault earlier this year

Police are appealing to trace a potential witness to a serious assault in Birmingham city centre.

A man in his 40s was left with a fractured skull after being punched in Temple Street at around 12.20am on 20 February.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police, said: “We recently asked the public for information about the crime. We now need to speak to this man who could have important information which would help our detectives.
