Police name gunman suspect in attempted murder investigation in Birmingham

Officers investigating a shooting in Birmingham have charged a man with attempted murder.

Mohammed Islam, aged 35, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, October 18). The charges relate to a man being shot in the leg and stomach in Charles Road in Small Heath on September 2.

Here’s the full police statement from West Midlands Police: “Officers investigating a shooting in Birmingham have today charged a 35-year-old man with attempted murder.

“Mohammed Islam will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (18 October). This is after a man was shot in the leg and stomach in Charles Road on 2 September.”
