Plea for justice from Amin Talea’s family after 2 brothers convicted of his murder in Kings Norton

The grieving family of Amin Talea have spoken of their desire for justice following the conviction of killer brothers Mohammed and Ridhwaan Farouk.
Amin was ambushed and stabbed to death as he left his home near Longfellow Road in Kings Norton at around 9.20pm on 1 October last year.

Hide AdHe was approaching friends in a car at the time. He later collapsed on nearby Middleton Hall Road where two passers-by called an ambulance for him.
The 20 year-old was taken to hospital but died hours later. The motive for the fatal attack remains unknown.
Following the conviction at Birmingham Crown Court Amin’s family said: “I want to thank West Midlands Police for all of their hard work and effort in this investigation.
“They managed to bring justice for my son who I will forever love and remember and have been nothing but caring and helpful since the first day.

Hide Ad“I would also like to thank the Court for their determination to bring my family peace.
“I hope justice will be served for my beautiful son. I know he will be at peace after this. I pray that nothing like this happens to anyone else.”
Ridhwaan was arrested at work at JD Sports in Selly Oak the following morning.
Earlier he had asked his manager to drive along Middleton Hall Road while she gave him a flift to work and admitted to her that he and his brother had been there and it had been is ‘brother’s beef’.

Hide AdRidhwaan Farouk, of Shenley Lane, Northfield, and Mohammed, 21, of Bilbrook Grove, Bartley Green, denied murder, but were found gulity after a trial. They are due to be sentenced on Friday (29 April).
Det Insp Ade George, who led the investigation, said: “We don’t know which of the brothers stabbed Mr Talea, or why, but sadly this is another example of the devastating impact that knife crime has on families and communities.
“Our thoughts remain with Mr Talea’s family today.”
