The Pitcher & Piano in Brindleyplace Birmingham to undergo £800K refurbishment
With the refurbishment, the Pitcher & Piano Bar at Brindelyplace in Birmingham covers will grow to 168, including canal-side tables
Pitcher & Piano’s Birmingham venue is spending more than £800,000 for refurbishment before reopening in October. The bar over the water’s edge in Brindley Place will get a brand new look with a complete overhall of the interiors.
Details of the revamp at the hugely popular venue have been released to BirminghamWorld - and they sound amazing!
The ground floor of the Birmingham bar will have a fluted bar front, a new colour palette for seating and mid-height booths with table lamps to create a cozy vibe.
Decorative elements will include a double-sided light bulb wall and a full height green wall with an illuminated ‘&’. On the lower ground floor, herringbone wood panelling will be added to some areas, and a photo booth will be installed.
Will there be more seats available at the Pitcher & Piano after the refurbishment?
With the refurbishment, the venue’s covers grow to 168, including canal-side tables. The exterior area on the ground and lower ground floors will have an al fresco space to make the outdoor space feel like an extension of the internal.
It will be edged with box hedges and festoon lights. There will also be a private dining space that can be booked for drinks occasions and celebrations.
The bar will offer fresh food alongside bottomless brunch, and a range of classic, house and sharing cocktails and a premium range of spirits, wines, beers and soft drinks.
Pitcher & Piano operates 16 bars across the UK and they aim to never have two bars which look the same.
What has the Pitcher & Piano said about the refurbishment in their own words?
Geoff Webber, Director of Operations at Pitcher & Piano, said: “We’re really excited to announce that Pitcher & Piano Birmingham, one of our most popular venues that has been in Brindleyplace for over 20 years, will be receiving an extensive refurbishment. We have invested a significant amount - over £800k - in giving the inside and outside spaces a complete overhaul.
“The bar is much loved by its regulars and a stalwart of the thriving hospitality scene in Brindleyplace. Pitcher & Piano is for every occasion: welcoming guests from day to night, whether it’s a special event or just after-work drinks. We can’t wait to reopen our doors in October and show Birmingham the new space.”
