Ozzy Osbourne, affectionately known as the Prince of Darkness, is an English musician/singer/reality TV star and a husband, father, and grandfather. His fame knows no bounds because people worship him as the godfather of heavy metal across the world.
The Black Sabbath singer is 73 years old and has been living in California for 25 of those years but he is originally from Birmingham, UK. He visited England for the first time in eight years to perform at the Commonwealth Games 2022. It was a short performance but one he had to take precautions for by wearing a bracket at the back, he told The Guardian.

Who is Ozzy Osbourne?
Ozzy was raised in a working-class family in Aston, Birmingham. He dropped out of school at only 15 and started working several low-paying jobs, according to Brittanica.

Hide AdHe was jailed at the age of 17 for two months for burglary. When he was released, he started taking his music career seriously.
He started performing with local rock groups and eventually formed his own, Earth. The name of the band was later changed to Black Sabbath.
In 1970, after the launch of their eponymously named album, the band became famous globally. Between then and 1978, the band was becoming more famous but Ozzy was sinking deeper into his addictions.
He left Black Sabbath in 1978 and it took him some time to find his footing again. He eventually launched a solo career thanks to Sharon. The first solo album became a multi-platinum success and has not looked back since.

The singer and his first wife, Thelma, parted ways in 1982 and he had started dating Sharon, his manager, by then. They married soon after. Sharon and Ozzy met when her father, Don Arden, was the manager of Black Sabbath.
She used to work with her father and already knew about the music industry. So, Ozzy was in good hands when Sharon took over as his manager and also helped him get out of his funk after leaving Black Sabbath.

The couple have three children - Aimee, 39, Kelly, 38, and Jack, 37.
Ozzy also has three kids from his previous marriage. He adopted his first wife, Thelma Riley’s son, Elliott, 56. And, has two biological children, Jessica, 50, and Louis, 47, with Thelma as well.

Ozzy’s health
In 2003, he had a fall from a quad bike and had to undergo neck surgery. More than a decade later in 2019, he fell again and that eventually led to him getting surgery again.
A year later, he revealed that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease - something that is incurable. In June 2022, his wife said he was on the road to recovery after a major neck surgery. He is scheduled to go on tour in 2023.
