Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine is devoted to wife Behati Prinsloo - who is she? how did they meet?

American pop band Marron 5 has been around for some time now and several of their songs have been charttoppers. Since they started in 1994, the band’s frontman Adam Levine, 44, has gained huge fame and riches with a net worth of around $160m.

Levine is known not just for his singing skills for Maroon 5 - who will be performing in Birmingham at Resorts World Arena on July 4 - but also for his coaching role on The Voice USA. He became a TV star when the show premiered on NBC in 2011 and he stayed on until season 16 before leaving in 2019.

The California-born singer has been married to Behati Prinsloo since 2014 after a whirlwind romance and they share three kids together.

Who is Adam Levine’s wife?

Levine’s wife Prinsloo, 35, was born in Namibia and she moved to the US to pursue modelling. She was a Victoria’s Secret Angel between 2007 and 2018. She worked with other brands as well having walked the runway for designers such as Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent and Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty .

She has been on the cover for several fashion magazines and appeared in many of Maroon 5’s music videos including Animals, Girls Like You and Lost. She was also in Selena Gomez‘s Hands to Myself music video.

Where did they meet?

Levine and Prinsloo met in 2013 after an email introduction regarding work. While Levine wanted to cast her in his music video, she had to turn it down as she was occupied but their email conversations didn’t end there.

“I ended up not doing it, but we kept emailing each other. It was such a natural correspondence that we kind of fell in love over email. A month later, I went to LA for a job, and that was the first time we met in person,” she told Net-A-Porter’s PORTER Edit‘s magazine.

Initially, she thought the meeting was awkward but sparks flew the same evening. “He took me for dinner and we talked for hours and had the best time. It was love at first sight, it was crazy,” she said. “We broke up for two months, realized that it was the worst decision, then got back together, got engaged and got married. It was a wild ride!”

The couple have been together for a decade but he was nervous when asking the Victoria’s Angel to marry him. “Doesn’t matter how certain you think you are, man. You still get down on that knee and everything turns … you just get woozy,” he said on Live! With Kelly and Michael. “You’re like, ‘I’m doing this, oh my god.’ And like, you can’t be confident about it. It’s almost like it’s impossible, you can be the most confident, I’m a confident person — but I got on that knee and everything changed immediately [...] I lost my equilibrium.”

Levine was accused of having an emotional affair by a TikTok influencer Sumner Stroh, 23, but the singer denied the allegations.

Later, Levine said in a statement: “I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life. In certain instances, it became inappropriate. I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”

And, he has turned it all around since then. He has “recommitted himself 100 percent to Behati [his wife] and his family,” a source told Us Weekly. The couple were recently photographed holidaying in Paris with their daughters - before he heads to the UK for his Maroon 5 tour.
