Aston Villa WFC player Alisha Lehmann, 24, is a social media phenomenon with over 15 million followers on Instagram alone. In July 2023, the 24-year-old forward from Switzerland had the most followers among players at Women’s FIFA World Cup, according to data analysts Nielsen Sports.

Internet favourite Alisha has been using her platform to show off as much about her personal style as about football. In 2023, she launched a calendar that was massively successful.

The sporting star has announced her 2024 calendar on Instagram today (Monday, September 18). Lehmann posted what seems to be the cover of her calendar on Instagram. She captioned it: “Back for 2024... The Official Alisha Lehmann Calendar Available to pre-order now!”

There are two versions to the calendar with the standard one costing £49.99 and the limited edition one for £149.99. Her calendar is up for grabs on her official store. Her store has a wide range of products from stationary to homeware and posters for her fans.

Aston Villa WFC’s Rachel Daly commented on it saying: “She’s back again!”

One of her followers wrote: “She’s breaking the internet again.” Another fan wrote: “Can’t wait.”

However, not everyone was pleased with the announcement.

One person wrote: “This goes against everything you’ve said about wanting people to respect you as a footballer rather than your body….. *adds to cart*” While another person commented: “Hates to be treated as a sex symbol, proceeds to release sexy calendar.”

Her fans were quick to defend the player with many defending countering the negative comments. One fan wrote: “If you can show respect @cristiano and all male footballers who post thirst traps and model. I’m sure we can do the same for her.”
