Peaky Blinders creator hints at what lies ahead for Tommy Shelby in series 6 at world premiere

“Great we’re here in Brum - and knowing that the series has such resonance around the world is fantastic,” Steven Knight tells BirminghamWorld on the red carpet ahead of the world premiere of series 6 at Cineworld on Broad Street.

The Peaky Blinders creator, brought up in Small Heath, remained tight-lipped on full details of what fans can expect from the show which returns to BBC One screens on Sunday (February 27).

Although he did reveal that lead character, Tommy Shelby - played by Cillian Murphy - will be facing “some formidable enemies”.

Hundreds of fans turned out to welcome the cast to Birmingham. Cinemworld was where the first ever Peaky Blinders world premiere took place in 2014.

Cillian Murphy didn’t make it. But many of the other stars were present.
