A building site in Oldbury was evacuated on Monday afternoon (24 January) after workers found what they believe to be two World War Two bombs.

Police were called to the site, on Giffords Way, which was evacuated and sealed off.

Soldiers from the Army’s Ordnance Disposal were called to examine the two-foot-long, torpedo shaped devices, which they found did not pose any risk.

All roads around the building site on Giffords Way, Oldbury have now reopened.
