Aston Villa have launched a public consultation on their long term vision for Villa Park and the surrounding areas. The plans would see the capacity of the stadium reach beyond 50,000, the North Stand being completely rebuilt, and the construction of an entertaining and retail venue.

Investigations to discover cause of gas explosion could take days

West Midlands Fire Service have said that the cause of the gas explosion in Kingstanding on Sunday may take a number of days to discover. The area has been made safe. Six properties were affected by the blast, and Crew are working to reduce the size of the area cordoned off.

Sporty look for the Bullring

The Bullring is getting a sporty look for the summer as The Sporting Social has opened on St. Martin’s balcony. The venue, arriving in time for Wimbledon, offers live sporting events on its 15 foot screen. There is also a table tennis table and table football for its patrons to compete with one another.
