Rail disruption due to heatwave
Rail services in the West Midlands are experiencing severe disruptions due to the heatwave. Many services have been changed or cancelled. Speed restrictions will be in place due to safety reasons. West Midlands Railway has urged people to only travel if essential.


Man charged following random knife attack
A man has been charged with attempted murder following what West Midlands Police believe was a random knife attack in Shadwell Street on Friday. 24 year old Adam Ali from Northumberland was arrested shortly after the stabbing. The victim suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital, but is expected to make a recovery.
