Starbucks has finally opened its doors in Sutton Coldfield's Mulberry Walk, reviving a spot that previously housed a dessert shop.

Starbucks applied to open the outlet in unit on Mulberry Walk between the Giggling Squid restaurant and the Renato Lounge bar in August.

A Starbucks shop in the Gracechurch Centre in Sutton town centre closed a number of years ago after becoming a firm staple of the high street.

In recent weeks, several business have closed their doors in the town with the latest blow being its branch of TGI Fridays.

The Toby Carvery restaurant in the town also closed its doors but that’s set to reopen as Browns Bar & Restaurant. A spokeswoman for the global coffeehouse brand said: “We are always looking for new locations and opportunities to bring the Starbucks Experience to customers in the UK.”
