A drunk driver smashed up a £70,000 Maserati Levante supercar after losing control and ploughing into a set of traffic lights.
Shocking pictures show the wrecked silver motor - which has a top speed of 187mph - after it destroyed a set of railings and collided with a traffic light pole.

Hide AdWest Midlands Police tweeted pictures of the scene following Sunday morning’s crash as a warning about drink driving. They tweeted: “This is a good example of the dangers of drink driving. This Maserati Levante collided with crash railings at Bristol Street this morning.


“The driver received minor injuries & was arrested for a positive breath test then failed to provide a sample in custody. #DontDrinkDrive.”
Social media users blasted the driver, saying he had “more money than sense”. Baz wrote: “Unreal, I hope these photos haunt him for years to come but I bet it’s not the first time he’s done it.”
