A man has died following a collision last night on Pershore Road in Birmingham.
Emergency first aid was performed on the 27-year-old in the street before he was transferred to hospital but sadly he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
Police have notified the man’s next of kin and a specialist family liaison officer is offering them support at this tragic time.
The driver of the Mercedes stopped at the scene and provided a negative breath and drug test; officers said they will be speaking to them again at a later date as enquiries progress.
Police have also seized the car and moped as part of their investigation.
Officers are asking for anyone who saw what happened or has dash-cam footage of the car and moped before the collision to get in touch.
Please message them on Live Chat through the West Midlands Police website or call 101. Please quote log number 3614 from 27 June
